Energy Medicine at York Community College

Energy Medicine is grounded in the belief that true well-being comes from acting as an integrated whole—mind, body, and spirit. This holistic practice, rooted in Oriental Medicine and the use of Qi (life force), can be traced back to the very beginnings of humankind.

The Chakra System is a vital part of Energy Medicine, consisting of energy patterns found within the body’s energy centers. Each chakra resonates at different frequencies and is closely tied to specific organs or endocrine glands. These spinning energy vortices operate like valves that channel the life force into the body. A blockage or imbalance in one chakra can affect the entire system, leading to physical, emotional, or spiritual dis-ease. Energy flows through Nadis, subtle channels that connect the chakras to the Meridians of Oriental Medicine. When these channels are disturbed by trauma or imbalance, energy flow is disrupted, leading to illness.

Energy Medicine aims to restore balance by addressing these core disruptions. Training in this practice helps awaken the Heart Chakra, guiding practitioners to focus on the lessons of the soul and heal the imbalances that affect well-being. Through techniques involving sound therapy, color visualization, crystals, Reiki, and meditation, practitioners are empowered to help clients heal at a deep, core level.

Training Overview:

Chakra and Meridian Healing: Learn how the chakras and meridians are connected to the body’s energy flow and how imbalances lead to illness.
Healing Tools: Explore the use of sound (singing bowls, voice, rattles), crystals, color therapy, plants, and words to meet various client needs.
Connection to Nature: Understand the relationship between Jing Essence (genetic inheritance) and the Tao (Universal Life Source), and how natural cycles and disruptions affect human health.

Energy Awareness: Develop personal energy awareness through solo exercises, psychic tuning, and energy perception to create rapport with clients.
Healing Techniques: Gain expertise in Reiki, AcuChi Jin Shin, and other energy healing modalities that balance the chakras and restore energy flow.
